CI 47005

CI 47005 is a mixture of the sodium salts of the mono- and disulfonic acids of 2-(2-quinolyl)-1H-indene-1,3(2H)-dione. It is principally disulfonated, similar to Ki203 and Acid Yellow 3, whereas Yellow 10 is principally monosulfonated. It conforms to the formula:

CI 47005 is listed in the European Commission CosIng inventory under the functional category Colorant, with CAS number 8004-92-0 / 94891-32-4 / 95193-83-2 / 68814-04-0 and EC number 305-632-3 / 305-897-5. CosIng records a restriction against it (IV/82), so check the corresponding Annex entry before formulating.
